A lithographer, sculptor, potter, he drew from everything that interested him. Curious and talented, he divided his life in the late 1990s between the Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Asia. Territories that seem to be at opposite ends, and yet… not so much, not for him, who saw in both a continuity. He liked what stood out. He was drawn to the exceptional.
The work presented in the exhibition, La La La Human Steps, clearly shows this passion of Lemay for everything that goes beyond the frame. In this exceptional piece, he translates an inner impression rather than trying to make an illustration of it. This gives the canvas undeniable artistic qualities. Great art!
